Each year the State Climatology Office receives thousands of requests for data or information
about weather and climate. Some of the requests that have been answered in the last few years
include the following:
Law enforcement investigations;
Claims verifications for insurance carriers;
Seasonal predictions and climatology profiles for tourism;
Presentations to civic clubs;
Rainfall contouring for hydrologic research;
Severe weather event documentation;
On-site monitoring of temperature, rainfall, wind and pressure;
Established high-resolution precipitation network for storm runoff studies;
