Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Request

It is the Policy of this agency that its public records are open to public inspection and its meetings are open as required by the state Freedom of Information Act. The agency will fully comply with all requests made either by written request or e-mail to a department employee.

As provided in SC Code Ann § 30-4-30(b) the Department shall collect reasonable fees for research, retrieval and copying costs related to each individual request. These fees are subject to change. These costs shall be charged at an hourly rate for actual staff time in retrieving, researching, programming or copying and assembly of information.
