Archery in SchoolsPhysical education teachers are invited to attend an 8-hour Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) course. Teachers who successfully complete the BAI course may implement the Archery in the Schools Program.

The course content is designed to teach archery instruction techniques to both archery novices as well as experienced archers. The course content includes range set-up and safety, string bow training aids, the eleven steps to archery success, coaching techniques, equipment nomenclature, inspection, operation, maintenance, and repair.

Workshops are open to interested teachers or other school employees at existing NASP certified schools or schools interested in becoming NASP certified. NASP must be taught during the school day.

Training Dates

In order to attend one of our NASP Teacher Certification trainings applicants need to complete our School application and be pre-approved to attend. Please fill out the BAI application and scan it to the state coordinator. Once your application is approved we will be in contact with more information and instructions for the training.

  1. Learn about NASP
  2. Bring NASP to your school
  3. Choose selection 3/ Instructor Certification
  4. Select South Carolina in the state selection
