Nest Monitoring
SCDNR staff and volunteers monitor individual wood stork nests at a subset of the stork colonies in South Carolina. The purpose of monitoring individual nests is to determine how many chicks survive to fledging age per nest. Data about breeding success and productivity is very useful for biologists and resource managers.
