SCDNR seeks deer hunters' opinion on management

***The survey is now closed***

On September 8, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) hosted a public meeting in Moncks Corner to discuss the deer population and deer hunting on the Francis Marion National Forest (FMNF).

At that meeting, SCDNR presented deer harvest data and population survey information as well as potential regulation changes that if implemented, may increase the deer population on FMNF over time. Additionally, questions and comments were taken from the public in attendance.

If you were unable to attend the public meeting or attended but were unable or chose not to voice your comments, you may provide them through our survey. This link will be available through Wednesday, September 14 at 5 p.m..

If you have additional questions regarding this meeting or the regulatory process you may direct those to: WFFComments@dnr.sc.gov
