Turkey Hunt - Multi-Site

All participants must provide their own turkey tags. Anyone in need of turkey tags may contact the DNR License Division at 803-734-3833 or you may order them online. Do not wait until the last minute to order tags to be certain you are prepared for your scheduled hunt. This hunt is non-transferable. Cancellations will not be refunded. Canceled slots will be filled by random selection of applicants who were not drawn.

Turkey hunters 16 years of age or older must possess:

  1. A valid South Carolina hunting license
  2. A valid South Carolina big game permit
  3. A valid South Carolina WMA permit (1 day WMA permits are available for turkey lottery hunts)
  4. Valid turkey tags

Belfast WMA

Report to the check station no later than 5:00 AM on the day of the hunt for mandatory orientation. Maps of area may be obtained from the Belfast WMA's Managed Lands profile or from the check station the day of the hunt. The bag limit is one gobbler per hunter and hunting ends at 11:00 AM. All hunters and harvested birds must be checked out at the check station.

Directions: Belfast WMA is located in Laurens County. From Columbia, this route should take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from downtown. Take I-26 West to Exit 72/SC-121. Turn left onto SC-121 and drive for 1.8 miles. Turn right on US 76/Wilson Road and drive for 10.8 miles. You will pass through the towns of Jalapa and Gary. Turn left onto SC-560 in Kinards and drive for 5.9 miles. Turn left at SC-56 and drive 0.4 miles. The Belfast Plantation house will be on your right.

From the Greenville/Spartanburg area, this route should take approximately 25 minutes from the junction of I-385 and I-26. Head east on I-26, take exit 52/SC-56, turn right onto SC-56 and drive for 13 miles. SC-56 takes three turns (left-right-left) in Clinton while it is joined with SC-72. Pay attention to the signs. Cross SC-560 and continue on SC-56 for 0.4 miles. The Belfast Plantation house will be on your right.

Bonneau Ferry WMA

Report to the Main Entrance at 5:00 AM on the day of the hunt for mandatory orientation. Scouting is allowed on any non-hunting day prior to your hunt date. Please call the Dennis Wildlife Center at 843-825-3387 to confirm your plans. Maps will be available. The bag limit is one gobbler per hunter and hunting ends at 11:00 AM. Must report hunt results using hang tags per instructions on hang tags and as directed at mandatory orientation..

Directions: Take Highway 402 off of Highway 52 just outside of Moncks Corner. Travel approximately 9 miles on Highway 402 until you cross the railroad tracks in Cordesville. The Main Entrance to the Bonneau Ferry WMA will be on the right ¾ mile past the railroad tracks..

Donnelley WMA

Report to the check station no later than 5:30 AM on the day of the hunt for mandatory orientation. Maps of area may be obtained from the Donnelley WMA's Managed Lands profile or from the check station on the day of the hunt. The bag limit is one gobbler per hunter and hunting ends at 11:00 AM. All hunters and harvested birds must be checked in at the Donnelley check station.

Directions: Donnelley WMA is located in Colleton County approximately 40 miles south of Charleston and 15 miles east of Walterboro, SC near Hwy 17. To reach the check station from Hwy 17, turn onto Bennett's Point Road (SC-26) and proceed approximately 4 miles to the marked entrance of the gravel road to the area. Santee Cooper WMA

Report to the Main Entrance at 5:00 AM on the day of the hunt for mandatory orientation. Scouting is allowed on any non-hunting day prior to your hunt date. Maps will be available. The bag limit is one gobbler per hunter and hunting ends at 11:00 AM.

Directions: The Santee Cooper WMA is adjacent to Bell's Marina on SC Hwy 6 near the town of Eutaw Springs. Eutaw Springs is approximately 10 miles southeast of the intersection of Hwy 6 and Interstate 95.

Wateree River HP

Report to the check station no later than 5:00 AM on the day of the hunt for mandatory orientation. Maps of area may be obtained from the Wateree River HP's Managed Lands profile or from the check station the day of the hunt. The bag limit is one gobbler per hunter and hunting ends at 11:00 AM. All hunters and harvested birds must be checked in at the check station.

Directions: Wateree River Heritage Preserve is located in Richland County. From Columbia proceed east on US Hwy 378 for approximately 15 miles, cross over US Hwy 601 and continue for another 2 miles until you come to Goodwill Baptist Church. After Goodwill Baptist Church, take a left onto Goodwill Road. Travel approximately 200 yards to the parking area and informational kiosk.
