Additional Resources

SC Game Check is a legally required electronic reporting system designed to track near real time harvest data on a county-by-county basis providing harvest totals and trends through each season. Information is also collected on private vs. public land harvests. This data, combined with post season hunter effort information collected during post season surveys assists SCDNR in the evaluation of the impact of season frameworks. Additionally, collected data helps SCDNR provide recommendations for regulatory and legislative decisions and allows for more adaptive approaches to managing the big game species into the future.

SC Game Check, along with the already required physical tagging of all harvested big game foster and enhance bag limit compliance, providing an additional tool for enforcement of limits and regulations.
