The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) partners with Wildlife Forever to bring the Fish Art Contest to students across the state. The Fish Art Contest has grown into a worldwide celebration of youth creativity and conservation. Each year, Wildlife Forever leads the national competition, while states like South Carolina host their own contests to showcase young artists’ passion for fish, fishing, and aquatic habitats. Top entries from the South Carolina Fish Art Contest are then sent on to compete for national honors through Wildlife Forever.

The Reel Art Contest ran from 2006 to 2016, encouraging students to combine creativity with conservation awareness. The images featured on this page come from that final contest year. You can view past entries and winners by visiting our website’s contest archive.
