Public Drawing Hunts - Applications
In an effort to become more efficient and provide better customer service, we have decided to charge a non-refundable participation fee for our drawing hunts. These fees are less than the refundable fees charged in past years and are based upon the last three years of application and selection data. The fee structure is designed to insure that the total accrued cost, when selected, is approximately equal to the refundable fee last year.
For instance, if a hunter applies each year for the waterfowl hunts he/she will be selected once every 2-3 years. The non-refundable fee is $20 which means that the total accrued cost when selected will be approximately $50.00. This new fee strategy does not change the selection process and as before, one must continue to apply annually until selected to benefit from preference points. There will be no charge or fee for youth hunts or for the youth on Adult-Youth hunts.
The purchase of temporary WMA permits is no longer a part of the application process. If you are selected to hunt, you are a South Carolina resident and need a temporary WMA permit, you will receive instructions for purchase on your hunt notification.

Note: No Alligator Hunt applications are mailed. Applicants must apply online or in person during the open registration period (May 1 - June 15).
Except for the Alligator Hunt (online registration), those who applied for a particular hunt the previous year will be mailed an application for that same hunt the following year only.
