Thank you for your participation in outdoor activities! Because of your love for fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing, boating, coastal tourism, and forestry, YOU have helped contribute more than 218,719 jobs and $33.4 billion to South Carolina’s economy!
The total economic contribution of freshwater fishing, hunting, and wildlife viewing to South Carolina is $2.74 billion and 31,958 jobs. Throw in saltwater fishing and the total effect is increased by $329 million!
Through your purchases of licenses, gear such as outdoor apparel, footwear, and firearms, outdoor vehicles like ATVs, and money spent on lodging, airfare, and even souvenirs, you are making the Palmetto State boom with jobs, revenue, and outdoor adventures for all!
