Waccamaw River Heritage Preserve Limited Access Due Elevated River Levels August 30, 2017

Sections of the Waccamaw River Heritage Preserve will be closed to vehicular traffic with limited access until the river recedes. The river has dropped but many portions of the preserve are still covered with water. Users are asked not to drive through standing water that may still be covering the roads even though the preserve is open. Users should not attempt to drive around barricades or sections marked with caution tape.
