113; USC Columbia, June 29, 2012

In the end of June and beginning of July 2012, the South Carolina Upstate and Midlands experienced a record breaking desert-like climate. The new South Carolina record maximum temperature was established as 113 degrees and at the University of South Carolina on June 29, 2012.
