April

17; Chesnee 7 WSW, April 3, 1992, and Caesars Head, April 8, 2007

In April 1992, a hard freeze on the 3rd caused significant damage to the peach crop in the Piedmont and Upstate of the state. The average low temperatures in South Carolina were 1.2 degrees below normal.

In April 2007, a hard freeze on Easter morning saw temperatures fall to the upper teens and lower the 20s across much of the Southeast. The result was at least 100 million dollars of agricultural losses across the region.
