Tropical Storm Allison


The remnants of Tropical Storm Allison developed numerous funnel clouds. F- 0 tornados touched down in Hampton , Beaufort, Richland, Charleston and Bamberg counties. An F-1 tornado touched down in Hampton damaging the courthouse. Roofs were blown off three buildings ($500.0K). Numerous trees and power lines were brought down by the storm, with some of the trees falling on structures. Traffic on Interstate 26 was blocked for an hour because of trees across the roadway in Spartanburg.
