ALONG THE SOUTH CAROLINA COAST...
ABUNDANT MOISTURE FROM HURRICANE EARL WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD NORTH AND INTO SOUTH CAROLINA THIS MORNING. THE CENTER OF THE TROPICAL SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO CONTINUE MOVING SLOWLY NORTHEAST TODAY ACROSS SOUTHERN GEORGIA...APPROACHING THE LOW COUNTRY TONIGHT. ON THIS TRACK THE STORM WILL PRODUCE PERIODS OF HEAVY SHOWERS ACROSS THE STATE DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS...WITH STRONG GUSTY EAST WINDS MAINLY SOUTH AND EAST.
FOR FRIDAY A COLD FRONT WILL SLOWLY SINK SOUTHWARD BUT MAY BECOME STATIONARY JUST NORTH OF THE STATE...AS TROPICAL AIR AND NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES PERSIST ACROSS SOUTH CAROLINA THROUGH SATURDAY.
