WEATHER SUMMARY
Monday saw a sharp drop in temperatures in the wake of a passing cold front. Frost and freezing temperatures were reported on Tuesday morning for inland sites. Milder weather returned during midweek with mostly sunny weather and near normal temperatures. A second push of dry, cold air entered the state on Friday. Saturday was observed as sunny with afternoon high temperatures peaking in the 50's behind northwest winds. The week ended under continuing sunshine and milder weather. The average statewide temperature for the period was four degrees below normal.
PRECIPITATION AND TEMPERATURE DATA
The highest temperature reported was 72 degrees at Beaufort on November 19. The lowest temperature was 22 degrees at Caesars Head on the mornings of November 18, 19. The heaviest official 24-hour rainfall reported was 0.80" at Sullivans Island ending at 7:00 a.m. on November 18. The average statewide rainfall for the period was 0.2."
