Dry, sunny weather was observed early in the week. On Thursday, high pressure behind a cold front set the stage for the seasons coldest morning. Widespread frost was reported at many inland sites as temperatures bottomed out in the mid and upper 20's. Milder conditions and a few scattered showers followed into the weekend. Statewide temperatures for the period averaged two degrees below normal.
PRECIPITATION AND TEMPERATURE DATA
The maximum observed temperature was 78 degrees on November 20 and 14 at Chesterfield, Cedar Creek and Orangeburg. The minimum observed temperature was 21 degrees at Cedar Creek and Blackville on the morning of November 18. The heaviest official 24-hour rainfall was recorded at Myrtle Beach with 0.60" ending at 7:00 a.m. on November 21. Statewide rainfall for the period averaged 0.0 inches.
