WEATHER SUMMARY
After a push of mild to warm air on Monday through Wednesday, the season's coldest air arrived on the heels of a strong, yet dry cold front on Thursday. Gusting northwest winds between thirty and forty miles per hour caused light damage from falling limbs upstate with several trees reported downed in the Clemson area. Light winds on Friday morning made for ideal conditions for freezing temperatures that were observed over most inland counties. Scattered frost was also reported over western counties on Saturday morning. A slow warming trend began on Saturday afternoon and by Sunday, high temperatures were peaking in the 70's. The statewide average temperature for the period was near normal.
The highest temperature reported was 83 degrees at Edisto Island and Allendale on November 12. The lowest temperature was 23 degrees at Chester on the morning of November 14. The average statewide rainfall for the period was 0.0.”
