A frosty morning greeted early risers Monday across central and western rural sites. Minimum temperatures fell into the upper 20's and low 30's. Several day of mild, mid-70 degree Autumn weather followed through the weekend. A few light showers were observed late in the week as a moist, easterly surface flow developed but almost all of the state remained dry. Statewide temperatures for the period averaged two degrees below normal.

The maximum observed temperature was 82 degrees on October 30 at Kingstree. The minimum observed temperature was 26 degrees at Cedar Creek on the morning of October 25. The heaviest official 24-hour rainfall was recorded at Charleston AP with 0.09" on October 31. Statewide rainfall for the period averaged 0.0 inches.
