Warm, sunny afternoons and cool mornings continued throughout the
week. High temperatures averaged between 8 to 12 degrees above normal.
Nearly all of the reporting sites report no rain for the month of October.
Statewide temperatures for the period averaged 6 degrees above normal.
PRECIPITATION AND TEMPERATURE DATA
The maximum observed temperature was 92 degrees on October 7 at Loris.
The minimum observed temperature was 47 degrees at Union on the morning
of October 6. The heaviest official 24-hour rainfall was recorded at
Pickens with 0.24" ending at 7:00 a.m. October 11. Statewide rainfall
for the period averaged 0.0 inches.
