In May 1910, above-normal precipitation was reported in most of the Upstate, where some stations reported more than five inches of rain above average monthly totals. Heavy rains occurred across the western half of the state between the 6th and 9th —a storm total of 10.36 inches in Greenville and 8.20 inches recorded in 24 hours.
