Aquatic Plant Management Council to meet April 17April 4, 2017
The South Carolina Aquatic Plant Management Council will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, April 17, at the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism’s Sesquicentennial State Park in the Retreat Center, 9564 Two Notch Road, Columbia, S.C. 29223.
The meeting is open to the public. Anyone with business for the council or needing directions to the meeting place should contact Chris Page at the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. To provide for an efficient meeting and to allow time, please contact Chris Page so that anyone who would like to speak to the Council can be placed on the agenda. The major topic of discussion will be the finalization of the 2017 Aquatic Plant Management Plan, based on more detailed analysis by the council and the public comments received. The comment period closed on March 31, 2017.

The Aquatic Plant Management Council is composed of one representative from each of several state agencies: the Governor's Office, S.C. Public Service Authority, S.C. Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism, S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control, SCDNR, and the Clemson University Department of Fertilizer and Pesticide Control. The representative from the Land, Water & Conservation Division of the SCDNR serves as Chairman of the council. The council provides interagency coordination and serves as the principal advisory body to the SCDNR on all aspects of aquatic plant management and research.
