The purpose of this site is to make available the GIS data that SCDNR has been developing since 1989. An account will be need to download data and can be obtained by selecting the "read our disclaimer" link on the GIS Data Clearinghouse Login page. Data is available for download at no cost. Data is organized by USGS 7.5 minute Topographic Quadrangle for South Carolina.
South Carolina GAP Analysis Map Layers
GAP is a national program to address the difficult issues of land cover mapping, animal habitat characterization, and biodiversity conservation assessment at the state, regional, and national levels. GAP data includes Land Cover, Species Habitat, Species Richness, and Land Stewardship. Data is available to download at no cost and is in ESRI Grid format.
DNR Department & Statewide GIS Data
GIS data is available for download from various SCDNR departments at no cost. Data is organized by topic and includes data that covers a larger geographic area than USGS 7.5 minute Topographic Quadrangle for South Carolina available from the DNR GIS Data Clearinghouse.
