The Hydrology Section of the SCDNR has three offices in South Carolina, each covering different regions of the state (see the map below). The Columbia office works primarily with those counties in the western and northern areas of the Coastal Plain; the Charleston office covers the southeastern past of the State; and the Clemson office works with the 18 counties located in the Piedmont (the northwestern third of SC).
