Public Information Coordinator
Joy Sullivan serves as the Public Information Coordinator for the Flood Mitigation Program in the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), Land, Water and Conservation Division. Her primary responsibilities are to develop and disseminate map modernization program information to local officials and the general public through outreach materials, public meetings and the media. Joy recently joined the Flood Mitigation team after having worked with the Conservation Districts Section of SCDNR for 15 years. She was involved in many education and outreach activities with Conservation Districts, specializing in working with students and young adults. Joy received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Bard College, Annandale-on-Hudson, New York in 1994.
