Discussion:

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources will conduct a South Carolina Drought Response Committee Conference Call on Thursday, September 29, 2011, at 1:30 PM. The purpose of the drought conference call is to evaluate the drought status statewide. The committee will review climatic data, streamflow and lake level data, and drought impacts. All counties are currently in the moderate stage of drought.

Directions for calling into the conference meeting are provided below.

I will send by email to Comittee members next Wednesday the drought index update and related information the committee will need to evaluate whether any changes should be made to the official declaration.
