April 29 deadline for public input on shooting range survey
The S.C. Department of Natural Resources is seeking public input on the next stage of the Go Shooting web page development. The aim of the Go Shooting web page is to promote information about both public and private shooting ranges.
The Go Shooting web page is currently a static, read-only page. Eventually the page will provide a searchable online database for visitors to locate a range and to research allowable activities. Public input is requested in a brief 12 question survey.
The S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will be seeking public input through the survey until midnight April 29.
DNR has long understood the importance of shooting sports to South Carolina’s heritage. This has led to work over the last several years to develop and promote shooting ranges throughout the Palmetto State. In addition to enjoying the outdoors, participation in hunting and recreational shooting generates federal funding to support DNR’s ability to manage natural resources and provide quality programs for everyone’s enjoyment.
South Carolina's natural resources are essential for economic development and contribute nearly $30 billion and 230,000 jobs to the state's economy. Find out why Life's Better Outdoors.
