Botany Bay WMA closed to public access during fall deer hunts
Botany Bay Plantation, a Wildlife Management Area located on Edisto Island, will be closed to public access during select dates this fall for scheduled deer hunts.
Botany Bay Plantation is managed by the S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and has been open to public access for a variety of recreational opportunities. During the fall, Botany Bay Plantation will not be open for general public access during public deer hunts taking place on the following days:
The area will be open on Sundays during these hunting periods this fall. Hours for public access are one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset, and visitors are required to sign-in and out at the kiosk located at the main entrance off of the highway. Regulations specific to activities on Botany Bay Plantation WMA are posted at this kiosk.
