The Marine Resources Advisory Committee to the S.C. Department of Natural Resources Board will meet 10 a.m. Thursday, September 6 in the MRRI Auditorium at the Marine Resources Center on James Island in Charleston.
The Marine Resources Advisory Committee is the liaison to the S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Board. DNR board member John P. Evans of Orangeburg is chairman of the Marine Resources Advisory Committee. The meeting is open to the public.
Items on the agenda include a presentation on cobia biology and research activities; cobia management issues; summary of recreational and commercial fishing license trends; artificial reef economic impact; and a summary of the 2006 shrimp baiting impact.
