Saltwater Fisheries Advisory Committee meets May 17 in Charleston

The Saltwater Recreational Fisheries Advisory Committee to the S.C. Department of Natural Resources will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17th in the administration conference room at Marine Resources Center in Charleston.

The Saltwater Recreational Fisheries Advisory Committee was established by law to advise the S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) on prioritizing the use of funds from the saltwater fishing license. William H. Puckett III of Georgetown is chairman of the Saltwater Recreational Fisheries Advisory Committee. The meeting is open to the public.

Items on the agenda include updates on the Saltwater Recreational Fishing License sale, legislative finfish bill, reauthorization of the federal Magnuson-Stevens Act, shellfish recycling program and Coastal Discovery Education program.
