Popular TV outdoors host Jimmy Houston will be one of the prime attractions at the Palmetto Sportsmen's Classic at the State Fairgrounds in Columbia.

ESPN outdoors host Jimmy Houston will be featured at the 2017 Palmetto Sportsmen's Classic at the State Fairgrounds in Columbia.

Jimmy Houston of "Jimmy Houston Outdoors" will be signing autographs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 24 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 25.

Jimmy Houston, "Americas Favorite Fisherman," is in his 40th year on national television. For 20 years, “Jimmy Houston Outdoors” consistently ranked as the number one outdoors show on ESPN. "Jimmy Houston Outdoors" now airs on NBC Sports, Destination America, WFN, You Too America, My Family TV, Walk TV, America Media Group, Heartland TV and The Texas Channel Cable Network.

Other exciting attractions at the Palmetto Sportsmen's Classic will be the Extreme Raptors Show, Billy Hurt and his Bass Tub, SCDNR's Catch and Release Fishing Pond, deer scoring and many more.

The 33rd Annual Palmetto Sportsmen's Classic will be held at the State Fairgrounds in Columbia March 24-26. Doors will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, March 24; from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 25; and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 26. Classic-goers will find hundreds of exhibitors on site with the latest fishing, hunting and outdoor equipment for show and sale. Admission to the 2017 Palmetto Sportsmen's Classic is $8 and parking is $5 per car. Seniors 62 and over and military get in for $7 while children 10 and under are admitted free. In partnership with Harvest Hope Food Bank, the Classic will offer $5 Friday. Bring a non-perishable food item on Friday and get into the Classic for only $5.
