Estuaries 101 Middle and High School Curriculum

This new and exciting curriculum is designed to be used by teachers in grades 6-12, to deepen students’ understanding about estuaries and how estuaries affect their daily lives. Estuaries offer an exciting context for learning about math, geography, chemistry, marine science, among other fields. There are tons of great lessons available.

Attention all Marine Biology teachers and professors!! Southeastern Regional Taxonomic Center (SERTC) has released a new poster to add to the series. The new poster includes high resolution pictures and detailed ecological descriptions of the sargassum sea beds. Sea Turtle nesting season in South Carolina is in full swing. As of October 31, 2013 biologists and volunteers have recorded 5,153 nests.
