Steven's Creek Heritage Preserve

Directions

To get to the preserve from the intersection of S.C. 230 and 1-20 (Exit 1) go north on S.C. 230 about 9.3 miles. Turn left onto secondary road 143 (Garrett Road) and proceed 7.9 miles to the bridge over Stevens Creek. Crossing the bridge takes you into McCormick County and to a parking area 0.8 miles up from the bridge on the right.

To get to the preserve from where U.S.221 leaves S.C. 28 at Clarks Hill, go south on S.C. 28 for .2 miles and turn left onto the first paved road. After crossing a railroad, turn left onto secondary road 88 and go 1.2 miles to the parking area on the left.
