Hunt Information

Due to time restraints on the SCDNR sales page, make sure you have each applicants' customer number and date of birth or their last name, date of birth and last four of their social security number. If an error message comes up for anyone, they most likely have multiple accounts. Please contact Emily Kearse at 803-734-3887 if you have any problems. Also be sure to write down your sites and dates prior to entering the SCDNR sales page. Make sure you have time to complete your application. If you walk away and come back you will be timed out and will have to enter all of your information all over again.

Application Instructions

  1. Hunt Fee: A nonrefundable fee of $5 per hunter
  2. An email address is mandatory. All future notifications will be forwarded to the primary applicant via email.
  3. Hunting License: Each successful applicant must have a Wildlife Management Area Permit and a valid hunting license to attend the hunt. A hunter younger than 16 years of age is not required to possess a hunting license, but must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older. Youth hunters must be at least 10 years of age to apply.
  4. WMA Permit: Resident temporary Wildlife Management Area permits are only available for scheduled half-day hunts (waterfowl and turkey). If selected, all participants must possess a regular Wildlife Management Area permit. A Wildlife Management Area permit is included in the Sportsman License, Junior Sportsman License, and Gratis (Over 64) License.
  5. Nonselection Option: The nonselection option is for applicants who know they will be unable to hunt during the scheduled hunt periods. This option allows the applicant to be excluded from the lottery yet acquire a preference point which will be added to any accumulated points for the following year's lottery.
