Current Research

Evaluating the economics of the SCDNR smallmouth bass stocking program. Assessing the contribution of fry and fingerling stockings as well as natural recruitment.

Investigating the seasonal movements of striped bass in the Santee-Cooper system.

Recent Activities

Prepared freshwater fish portion of the South Carolina Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Plan, which included identifying fish species of conservation concern, and identifying research and conservation actions expected to benefit those species.

Conducted comprehensive fish inventory of the wadeable streams in the Broad River drainage and evaluated the relationship between fish community structure and environmental variables (e.g., landuse and habitat).
