WEATHER SUMMARY:

Orangeburg's Monday morning low temperature of 31 degrees climbed to 72 degrees by mid-afternoon. The Clemson AP recorded a Tuesday high temperature of 78 degrees. Dry, sunny weather was observed throughout the week. Minimum temperatures near or below freezing were reported for all locations except the beaches and southernmost counties. Sandy Run and Hartsville recorded Friday high temperatures of just 64 degrees. Progressively colder mornings were observed during the weekend. On Saturday morning, both Manning and Pelion recorded a hard freeze of 24 degrees. Cedar Creek also reported 24 degrees on Sunday morning. A slow moderation in temperatures began Sunday afternoon. Columbia, Johnston, Holly Hill, Conway and Walterboro warmed to 72 degrees. The state average temperature for the seven-day period was two degrees below normal.

The highest official temperature reported was 80 degrees at Lake Wateree on November 9 and at Hardeeville on November 10. The lowest official temperature reported was 21 degrees at Barnwell on November 14. The state average rainfall for the period was 0.0 inches.
