WEATHER SUMMARY

It was another dry, sunny week. Most observations sites within South Carolina report no rain this October. Several stations are approaching their record consecutive number of days without measurable rain. Indian Summer-like temperatures of upper 70 to lower 80 degree afternoons were noted Monday through Sunday. Statewide temperatures for the period averaged four degrees above normal.

PRECIPITATION AND TEMPERATURE DATA

The maximum observed temperature was 88 degrees at the Orangeburg on October 28. The minimum observed temperature was 39 degrees at Chesterfield on the morning of October 24. Statewide average rainfall for the period was 0.0".
