WEATHER SUMMARY

Sunny and dry, mild to warm weather was observed throughout the work week. Afternoon high temperatures in the 80's made it feel like late summer. A big change occurred Saturday night when a strong cold front plunged southward from Canada. Blustery north winds on Sunday limited high temperatures to the 50's. Statewide temperatures for the period averaged two degrees above normal.

PRECIPITATION AND TEMPERATURE DATA

The maximum observed temperature was 91 degrees at Charleston City on October 5. The minimum observed temperature was 31 degrees at Caesars Head on the morning of October 8. Statewide average rainfall for the period was 0.0".
