WEATHER SUMMARY

Rains started the week. Most amounts were in the 0.25 to 0.50 inch range. Cloudy, cool conditions followed on Tuesday with high temperatures in the 40's. After a sub-freezing start on Wednesday morning, shifting winds allowed milder weather to replace the harsh cold that had been ongoing for over a month. Another frontal passage on Friday brought with it more wet weather. Milder daytime conditions were observed on both Saturday and Sunday. Statewide temperatures for the period averaged near normal.

The maximum temperature was 69 degrees at Longs on January 14. The minimum temperature was unavailable. Statewide average rainfall for the period was 0.7".
