The remnants of Tropical Storm Jerry produced widespread flooding rains of between 8 and 12 inches. Antreville, in Abbeville county, was the bulls-eye for the heaviest 24-hour and new state record 24-hour rainfall of 17.00 inches. The Reedy River exceeded stage of 14 feet. Property damage to roadways, bridges, business and residential amounted to 10 million dollars.
